Nancy began her career in insurance in 1983, working in claims for an insurance broker firm. She eventually became a claims adjuster, then moved on to a position of claims examiner and technical supervisor, which she occupied with well-known insurance companies and claims adjustment firms. In 2001, she was awarded the title of CIP bestowed by the Insurance Institute of Canada. Over the same period, she also acted as a liaison officer for the Insurance Institute of Canada.
In 2015, Nancy brought her expertise to Cuierrier & Associés, where, as a claims examiner and technical advisor, she assists adjusters in commercial and personal lines. She is also involved in the management.
